If you’re an Orange is the New Black fan, then you probably know that Litchfield could use some building upgrades… especially considering the recent riot that dismantled the facility.
A lot of features could use help, but we think the lighting systems should be one of Caputo’s top priorities. Without adequate lighting staff and inmates are put in more danger.

Our WAL-TSL-500LTL-LED security spotlight tower is perfect for correctional facility applications because it produces a very powerful 60,000 lumen spotlight that can be easily moved to track moving objects. The 480-watt lamp head is mounted to a 3-foot tall aluminum pole and has an IP67 waterproof rating, operating well in hot and cold conditions, so the unit can be used outside on security towers. Since there is no warm up time and instant on staff can spot light prisoners instantly.

Permanent yard lights are also a requirement for prisons, and our LEDWP-LP-450-KNL-DCMflood light is for keeping outdoor grounds properly lit. This LED produces 5,100 lumens and draws just 45 watts. The flood beam is NEMA 7Hx7V, a very wide spread ideal for general or accent lighting. The fixture is UL wet location listed, suitable for outdoor use where the potential exposure of ultraviolet light, moisture or full water immersion exists.

Last, but certainly just as important is our GAU-HB-200W-LED high bay LED light, designed for indoor lighting. This 200 watt LED high bay light fixture provides 24,000 lumens of high quality light. Using these throughout the facility will keep all darkened corners brightly lit, so staff out and about can see what’s going on around them, and staff watching security cameras can identify any potential threats to fellow staff or other inmates.
And lucky for Litchfield our products are long-lasting, energy-efficient and durable.
