Larson Electronics, an industrial lighting manufacturer, has announced the release of an explosion proof fluorescent light fixture constructed with a single fluorescent lamp.
The EPL-48-1L fluorescent light fixture from Larson Electronics is a four-foot explosion proof fixture fitted with a single lamp. Lamp options include a 54-watt T5HO lamp, a 60-watt T12HO lamp, or a 32-watt T8 lamp. This fixture carries a T6 temperature rating and is approved for use in paint spray booths. The lamp is protected by a heat and impact resistant Pyrex tube and the fixture is constructed of copper free aluminum alloy. The lamp reflector is corrosion resistant and heavy gauge aluminum coated with a high gloss reflective finish.
The fixture is universal voltage capable and can operate on 120 to 277 volts AC. Power connection is made through a ½” threaded wiring hub. This unit is standardly shipped with surface mount brackets that allow the unit to be mounted to any flat surface, such as ceilings or walls. Two adjustable brackets are attached to mounting pegs on each end of the fixture. Once the brackets are mounted to a surface, the light fixture can be removed from the brackets by loosening the cap screws that hold the bracket to the mounting peg. This fixture is also available for pendant mounting for applications where users would need to suspend the unit from a surface. The EPL-48-1L provides operators in hazardous locations with a reliable and durable lighting solution that provides the best explosion proof protection available without sacrificing quality or durability.
“The new configuration of this popular fixture offers the same qualities as our two lamp and four lamp fixtures,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics. “By now offering a single lamp fixture, Larson can accommodate those more compact areas and applications.”
