The Larson Electronics GVP-EMG-48-2L-LED is similar to our popular explosion proof LED fixtures and provides an LED alternative to fluorescent fixtures that provides longer lamp life and higher performance. These 2 LED tube lamp fixtures produce more output with longer lamp life and are vapor proof and impact/ vibration resistant. Please note that this unit is vapor proof and not approved for use in hazardous locations.
The GVP-EMG-48-2L-LED is equipped with two specially designed LED T8-series bulbs which produce 3,500 lumens each and have a correlated color temperature of 5,600K. The GVP-EMG-48-2L-LED, four foot long, two lamp LED light fixture is designed for those who wish to replace or upgrade from fluorescent equipped fixtures and offers better light output and longer lamp life with reduced maintenance costs. With no ballast and solid state LED light tubes, this fixture draws less than 0.5 amps of power while offering durability and versatility that common fluorescent fixtures cannot match.
We have eliminated the ballast box normally associated with fluorescent fixtures which reduces overall weight and creates a slimmer unit profile. There is no ballast in this unit and the included LED lamps have a 50,000+ hour service life, both of which result in extreme efficiency and greatly reduced maintenance costs. The solid state design of the LED lamps give this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibration, extremes in temperature, and a lamp service life over twice that of standard fluorescent bulbs.
This emergency LED light works, mounts and is wired like our GVP-48-2L-LED vapor proof LED light fixtures. The main difference is that we add a battery backup unit that adds emergency light functionality to the fixture. This emergency battery backup will run one bulb at the standard UL suggested 90 minutes after power is lost at 3,500 lumens. The light recharges the battery once electrical power is restored. Standard configuration includes a single emergency battery backup that is automatically recharged and kept in a ready state. The battery backup unit includes a switched leg for turning the light fixture on/off without kicking the unit into emergency mode.
The 24 watt LED lamps produce more illumination than standard fluorescent T8 bulbs. The GVP-EMG-48-2L-LED is multi-voltage and operates on any voltage from 110V to 277V AC 50/60hz. We also offer this vapor proof fixture in a low voltage 12-24V DC configuration. Integral aluminum heat sink tube backings provide cool operation and long LED life, while a simple latching system seals the lens cover to the housing and provides easy access for re-lamping.

This unit is designed to be either surface mounted or hung from cable or chain and includes built in mounts. The GVP-EMG-48-2L-LED light fixture is ideal for indoor-outdoor applications and suitable for use as general area lighting, shop lighting, work space lighting, garage and warehouse lighting, and anywhere a rugged and dependable fixture with high output and efficiency is needed. This light comes with a multi-purpose mounting bracket that can be used for a direct surface mount or reversed and used for chain hanging the unit.
