The Larson Electronics BLG-LED-4REX Explosion Proof LED Blasting Gun Light has a 4 watt LED that produces 130 lumens of intense LED illumination and is designed for extreme durability in media blasting applications. This powerful LED light is designed to be mounted to any standard blasting gun and is powered by rechargeable batteries so no cords or transformers are necessary. This light will run for 4 hours at full power on a single charge. A specially designed mounting system and quick change protective shield allows operators to use this unit as a blasting gun mounted light source that will stand up to abusive use.
This LED blasting gun light features a specially designed mounting system which allows the unit to be attached to the end of any standard blasting gun. This mount includes all necessary mounting hardware and a protective lens cover that can be removed and replaced even when wearing gloves. This protective lens is a simple slide in, slide out configuration that allows operators to pull the lens out and slide a new one in as the lens is worn out by exposure to blasting materials such as coal slag, sand and baking soda. This lens is constructed of tempered glass for durability and is held in place by a spring loaded fastener. A slot in the bottom of the lens holder allows particles to clear when performing lens changes.
Power for this blasting light is provided by included rechargeable batteries which give this unit a runtime of 4 hrs at maximum output. The high intensity LED in this light produces 130 lumens and has a lifetime of 50,000 hours. A rubber push button switch provides easy operation and a highly durable nylon housing provides excellent resistance to damage from impacts and vibrations. This unit is watertight and able to withstand the rigors of aggressive and heavy duty use applications. Compared to typical gun mounted blasting lights, this compact LED unit is light weight, offers freedom from electrical cords, and produces much brighter and intense illumination than comparable incandescent lights.
This explosion proof LED blasting light can be toggled between light modes by holding the switch down for a predetermined amount of time. Simply pressing the switch once activates the light in high mode producing a far reaching 130 lumen light beam. Holding the switch down activates the light in low mode and produces a moderate 50 lumens of useable light that will last for 12 hours. Extreme runtime is produced by holding the switch down for ten seconds to activate the light in dim mode, producing 1.3 lumens of light at 120 candela that will last for up to 480 hours.
Included with this light are 2 charging units with cords. Attach one of the charging cords to gain power, then attach to the light and the light will begin to charge. A 120V wall plug cord (VAC) and 12V vehicle cigarette plug cord (VDC) are both included.
