The HALD-48-1X4-2X50LED is a Class I, Division 1 & 2 and Class II, Division 1 & 2 rated LED fixture for use in paint spray booths and hazardous environments where space for lighting systems are limited. This 100-watt fixture operates on universal voltage 100-277V AC or 11-25V AC/DC (50/60Hz). During use, the 1x4 lay-in LED light provides 12,500 lumens of output, with a color temperature rating of 5600K, 4500K or 3000K. A color rendering index of 75 ensures accurate production of colors and details. This LED light provides a flood beam pattern, with 60° or 125° beam angles for effective coverage.
The internal components of the LED lamp are accessible via the front (no rear access). To open the fixture, the faceplate must be removed and the LED module is dropped down from the front of the unit. For rear access requirements or servicing, Larson Electronics offers the HALD-48-1X4-2X50LED-V2.
Constructed of copper-free aluminum, the front-access LED assembly is protected by a sturdy frame and a 3/16" thick polycarbonate door. The IP67-rated lamp features a powder coated white finish for durability. Equipped with a T5 temperature rating, the LED light is suitable for use in environments ranging between -50°C to +65°C. A special heat dissipating design in conjunction with LED technology helps this fixture to achieve an excellent 60,000 hour rated lifespan with 80% lumen retention.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
The integrated LED assembly in this unit features multiple LED drivers which helps to increase the operational life of the fixture. With traditional LED lights, in the event an LED array or driver fails, the entire fixture no longer illuminates. This new series of LED lamps contains eight individual LED boards configured in a series of banks. Each bank contains two LED boards with an individual driver. In the event of a driver failure, only one bank of LEDs will be effected while the other banks will continue to operate. In the event that of an LED failure, the mating LED will continue to operate.
Wiring: The HALD-48-1X4-2X50LED comes with 10` of 16/3 SOOW cord with flying leads for connection to a preferred power source.
Mounting: This fixture is designed for recessed mounting applications and requires a mounting hole to be made in booth panels capable of accommodating the fixture`s housing in order to provide the maximum amount of space in paint spray booth enclosures. Once mounted, this fixture`s door frame will extend 3/8” into the spray booth.
