The Larson Electronics SPLT-.6K-LM21-RB-4X150AH-4X10L-CPR Solar LED Light Tower offers wide-area illumination in outdoor locations from elevated positions up to 21.3`. This unit features two, 300-watt solar panels, four 50-watt LED fixtures for illumination, four 150aH gel batteries (300aH capacity) and a solar controller. The entire assembly is secured on a single-axle trailer. Constructed of aluminum alloy, the solar light mast provides a runtime of 26 hours per full charge. Operators can position tower in various positions, via the rotating mast.

This solar LED light tower is a portable, powerful lighting solution for outdoor locations. The unit is equipped with two 300-watt solar panels, four 50-watt LED fixtures, four 150aH gel batteries, Morningstar PS-30 controller and a sturdy junction box. All components are mounted on a single-axle trailer. The rotating light mast extends up to 21.3 feet.
LED Fixtures: The SPLT-.6K-LM21-RB-4X150AH-4X10L-CPR features four, 50-watt LED fixtures for illumination. The LED units operate on 24V DC and provide 7,000 lumens of white light (1,750 lumens per lamp) with a color temperature rating of 5,000K. Constructed of die-cast aluminum, the LED fixtures are suitable for wide-area illumination in outdoor locations.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Light Mast: This telescoping four-stage aluminum light mast from Larson Electronics is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy a reliable lighting system in locations where it must be elevated to heights up to 21.3` for effective coverage. The tower is constructed of round aluminum alloy tubing. The mast is extended to its full height using a manual lifting system. Junction boxes are mounted at the top of the first stage and at the very top of the mast for equipment setup, connection, and deployment.
When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360°. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different positions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely with ease, and can typically be rotated with a single hand.
Solar Panels/Batteries: This unit is comprised of two 300-watt solar panels, with a 30-degree tilt for optimized sunlight exposure. The panels are wired to the solar charger control box which manages the charging system. A 24V DC Morningstar PS-30 controller, with a maximum PV open current/voltage protection of 30A/60V, manages power storage and allocation between the solar panels and batteries. The SPLT-.6K-LM21-RB-4X150AH-4X10L-CPR features a total of four, 150aH gel deep cycle lead-acid batteries to store power. The power cells come with 300aH usable capacity and an expected lifespan range of 5-7 years.
Component Control Center: All the electrical components are encapsulated in a NEMA 3R job box that is bolted to the trailer. Since most of these components are not rated for high heat, our component cooling system circulates air within the job box at 1400 CFM when the ambient temperature exceeds 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The job box that contains the component control system includes locks for security purposes.
Trailer Assembly: The entire assembly measures 11` 9.75" x 11.25" x 8` 2" and is secured on a single-axle trailer with 185R/14C tires/rims. The trailer tongue can be removed for long-term deployment. A rugged and waterproof job box is included, safely secured to the trailer. Four outriggers mounted to the corners of the trailer allow operators to level the trailer, and provide stabilization during deployment. All trailer lighting complies with US DOT regulations.
