The Larson Electronics EPS-2XPB-SG-DPMS Explosion Proof Double Push Button Switch is Class I, Division 1 & 2 and Class II, Division 1 & 2 rated for hazardous locations. This explosion proof switch provides manual starting and stopping of small AC and DC motors. The unit offers versatile wiring configurations, making it suitable for up/down controls for pendant control stations and other similar applications.
The EPS-2XPB-SG-DPMS is rated for 10 amps at 600V. This unit is enclosed in a cast iron device box and the device features smooth, double flanges that mate both to the cover and the mounting enclosure to provide flame tight joints. For durability, screws consist of stainless steel hex head screws. The side rocker arm push button has lockout holes and the switches are supplied with an internal ground screw.
The explosion proof device caters to various wiring configurations during installation, such as two that are normally open or two that are normally closed. The unit features two NO and two NC contact configurations.
The EPS-2XPB-SG-DPMS housing is made out of a malleable iron body with a cast copper free aluminum alloy cover, and is epoxy powder coated for a natural finish. This switch is rated for Class I Divisions 1 & 2 Groups C & D, Class I Zones 1 & 2 Groups IIA & IIB, Class II Divisions 1 & 2 Groups E, F & G, and Class III Divisions 1 & 2.
