Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Smoke Detector, 3.5 Watts, 120V AC, IP44 Rated (4/2/2024)

Kemp TX: Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof smoke detector that features three sets of relays and a magnetic test switch. This 120V AC unit has an LED indicator and is made from polycarbonate/ABS and copper-free aluminum.

The EXP-SD-SFC-120V-V1 explosion proof smoke detector is rated for use in Class I, Division 1, Groups B, C, and D; Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D; and Class I, Zone 1 hazardous locations. This smoke detector for hazardous locations operates on 120V AC with a low output range of 0-20 mA. An LED indicator flashes once every four seconds on standby mode and stays on steadily when the alarm is activated.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof smoke alarm contains three sets of relays for a total of eight relay outputs. The 5-amp smoke alarm relay is Form C with normally open and normally closed contacts. This unit can be mounted to ceilings and is IP44 rated and features a T4 temperature rating. Suitable applications include industrial facilities, hazardous locations, chemical manufacturing, and more.
