Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Bug Eye Emergency LED Fixture, 24V DC 60Hz (4/1/2024)

Kemp TX: Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof bug eye emergency LED fixture for use in Class I, Divisions and 2 hazardous locations. This unit produces 66 lumens of light while drawing only 2.2 watts. This emergency fixture will operate for at least 90 minutes in a power failure or outage event.

The EXP-EMG-2L-LE6-24VDC explosion proof bug eye emergency LED fixture is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIB+H2 and IIA; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G; and Class III, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. This unit features three explosion proof enclosures that are configured in a bug eye layout. This unit has an operating temperature range of 0˚F to 113˚F and features a low voltage disconnect.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof bug eye emergency fixture features two lamps that each have eight LEDs that draw a total of 1.1 watts per lamp. Each lamp produces 33 lumens of high intensity white LED light. This emergency self-testing LED fixture is not a factory sealed fixture, which means operators will need to provide their own seal off. This unit operates on 24V DC at 60Hz and can be mounted to flat surfaces. Suitable applications include industrial facilities, commercial buildings and more.
