Larson Electronics Releases 400W Explosion Proof Motion Sensor, 15’x15’ Area Coverage (3/13/2024)

Kemp TX: Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof motion sensor that covers an area of 15’ by 15’. This unit is designed for Class I, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations and can power equipment based on motion. This unit features adjustable sensitivity and time delay after motion abilities.

The EXP-MS-N4X-AT-HV-V5 400-watt explosion proof motion sensor is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C, and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIB+H2 and IIA; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. This motion detector covers an area of 15’ by 15’ when mounted at 16’ and is made of copper-free, non-sparking aluminum with a glass window for motion detection.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof motion detector can be wall mounted and adjusted -90˚ to 30˚ vertically. The housing provides two 1/2" or 3/4" hub openings on either side for running electrical conductors in a feed-through configuration. This unit comes with an adjustable timer and operates like a normal on/off switch. This unit can operate on 120V, 208V, 220V, 240V or 277V AC with a 12-24V DC low-voltage option available. Suitable applications include manufacturing, industrial, and more.
