Larson Electronics Releases 70W Explosion Proof Light, Metal Halide Lamp, 50’ SOOW Cord, CID1 (3/12/2024)

Kemp TX: Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof metal halide lamp for use in Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations. This explosion proof light is designed for use in wet and marine environments and features a spun aluminum mount.

The EPL-BS-70-50 explosion proof metal halide light is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups F and G; and Class III hazardous locations. This explosion proof light provides 7,000 square feet of work area coverage while producing 5,500 lumens of light output. This unit features a 70-watt metal halide lamp mounted to a 12.5” diameter circular base made from non-sparking spun aluminum.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof light fixture comes with a carrying handle mounted on the top of the light head and can be permanently mounted to flat surfaces. The lamp can be adjusted up and down 90˚ and locked into position. This unit comes with 50 feet of SOOW cord terminated in a Class I, Division 1 explosion proof straight blade plug. Suitable applications include hazardous locations, construction sites, and more.
