Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof 1HP Motor, 460V 3PH 60Hz, 3,600 RPM, 1.6 FLA (3/11/2024)

Kemp TX: Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof 1-horsepower motor designed for use in Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations. This motor is compatible with 460V three-phase 60Hz and offers 1.6 FLA at high. This unit can be installed with industrial systems through an integrated mounting foot.

The EXP-MTR-3P-460-1HP-3.6K-56 explosion proof 1-horsepower motor is rated for use in Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D; and Class II, Division 1, Groups F and G hazardous locations. This explosion proof motor is designed for use in flammable work sites and operates with 460V AC three-phase 60Hz. This unit offers 1.6 full-load amps with 77% full-load efficiency.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof motor is capable of generating 3,600 RPM and is fully enclosed and fan cooled. This motor carries an IP55 rating and features an ambient temperature rating of 50˚C. This unit comes with aluminum endshields and is protected by a NEMA 56 motor frame. This motor features Class F insulation and comes with 24” of +2/-0 leads for completing electrical connections.

This unit comes with an unassembled aluminum conduit box and is foot mounted. Suitable applications include hazardous locations, industrial facilities, mixers, and more.
