Larson Electronics Adds Compact Hazardous Location LED Light with High Output and Low Voltage Operation|
Larson Electronics.com has announced the addition of the HAL-33W-TC-LV LED Light for Hazardous Location Areas to its comprehensive line of explosion proof lighting solutions for industrial and commercial operations. Built to operate on low voltage and provide high output from a compact fixture design, this rugged LED light is an ideal alternative to bulky and hot running HID light fixtures.
The HAL-33W-TC-LV LED Light for Hazardous Location Areas provides operators in hazardous locations with a compact and durable explosion proof lighting solution that offers substantial improvements over older and less reliable metal halide and high pressure sodium light fixtures. Measuring only 7 inches in diameter and 3 inches thick, this compact LED light provides high output in the form of 2,250 lumens while using only 33 watts of power and operates from 24 volt DC power sources, making it ideal for locations where low voltage operation is preferable or more practical. Unlike HID light fixtures which run hot and can pose problems with slow startup and erratic output, the HAL-33W-TC-LV provides full output the moment it is energized and runs only warm to the touch. This explosion proof light also has a much longer service life than most HID lamps with a 100,000 hour rated LED operating life, and with no glass or fragile filament in its construction, can withstand vibrations and impacts that would cause traditional HID and incandescent bulbs to fail. These hazardous location LED lights are constructed of heavy duty extruded aluminum with a borosilicate lens, adding further durability and very good resistance to the effects of thermal shock. The housings are IP66 rated, giving them excellent resistance to dusts and protection against water, even under high pressure spray as well. These units are fitted with high quality Cree LEDs to ensure high output and long life, and produce high quality light in the 5000-5500K color temperature range for good contrasting and color rendering. A simple aluminum mounting bracket with predrilled holes provides easy mounting and vertical adjustability, and an included 16 foot long cord with an IP67 rated Turck connector provides added protection against water and ample length for installation. Featuring Class 1 Division 2 Groups A, B, C, D, and CSA 22.2 No. 250.0 approval for hazardous locations, these compact LED lights provide high output and extremely reliable operation for operators who desire a light that will use less power, produce less heat, and stand up to the rigors of operation in demanding industrial environments without sacrificing output or light quality.
“The HAL-33W-TC-LV LED Light for hazardous location areas is a state of the art lighting approved for Class 1 Division 2 environments.” said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics.com. “With this light output, this lightweight, linear hazardous location LED light is relevant alternative to larger bulkier linear fluorescent lights.”
