Larson Electronics.com announced today the release of a 150 watt LED mining light that produces the equivalent illumination of a 400 watt metal halide lamp. Designed for abusive mining conditions, the LEDPM-5W-30 LED mining light combines high intensity with rugged construction to produce an LED light capable of replacing standard metal halide mining lights. Ideal for operations where lighting needs to be connected to the low 12-24 volt DC electrical systems of vehicles and equipment, this mining light provides high output and reliable operation under demanding industrial conditions.
The LEDPM-5W-30LED mining light from Larson Electronics.com is an ideal replacement for fragile metal halide lamps and combines high intensity 14,790 lumen output with low power requirements and heavy duty construction. IP68 rated waterproof and dustproof; this LED mining light is constructed of extruded aluminum with an unbreakable polycarbonate lens for durable operation under abusive conditions. This LED mining light incorporates 30 Cree Xlamp XPG™ LEDs for the highest output possible and contains advanced Pulse Width Modulation Circuitry to provide protection against overheating and voltage spikes. Pulse Width Modulation technology also allows these units to automatically sense and adjust to input current levels, making these mining lights multi-voltage capable and operable with any current ranging from 9 to 36 volts DC. An adjustable trunnion mount allows operators to simply loosen two thumb screws and adjust these lights through 360 degrees of vertical movement for precise aiming of the light beam once mounted. The LEDPM-5W-30 LED mining light comes standard in a 25 degree spotlight configuration that provides good beam distance while still illuminating a wide area. These lights produce illumination which is the equivalent to 400 watt metal halide lamps, but use less than half the wattage and have no fragile glass or toxic gases in their construction, which allows them to withstand greater vibration and rough handling without any degradation in performance. These LED mining lights are rated for 50,000 hours of operation, making them a much longer lived and cost efficient alternative to traditional incandescent and HID mining lights.
