Explosion proof extension cords with and without explosion proof switches enable operators to extend the reach of existing hazardous location lighting. Operators with 25 foot or 50 foot cords that require additional length to reach the power supply can use these explosion proof extension cords to extend the length of existing cords by 100 feet. Some of the Larson Electronics explosion prood extension cords include inline switches which is useful for turning on/off explosion proof lighting within the hazardous location area. For example, all explosion proof drop lights do not have an on/off switch. Using the Larson Electronics explosion extension cord gives the operator the ability to turn off the light without having to leave the area and unplug the light at the power source. THE EXPLOSION PROOF EXTENSION CORDS ARE TO BE CONNECTED TO YOUR HAZARDOUS LOCATION APPLIANCES (LIGHTS, ETC.) OUTSIDE THE HAZARDOUS LOCATION AREA. ONCE CONNECTED THE INLINE SWITCH AND LIGHT CAN BE USED SAFELY WITHIN THE HAZARDOUS LOCATION AREA.
