Flameproof Portable Lights
Bringing light into combustible and volatile work sites is no easy task. Without adequate protection from hazardous elements, such as methane, hydrogen and metallic dust (just to name a few), conventional lamps do not stand a chance in the flammable location and are prone to failure or unwanted interaction with explosive compounds.
From a safety perspective, such concerns could increase operating risks for workers. Portable, flameproof lamps address these issues by providing an ATEX/IECEX rated light source that is capable of tolerating flammable environments.
Equipped with accessible handles, wheels or base stands and lengthy heavy-duty cords, the units are also extremely mobile, capable of being transported around the area with minimal effort. This is what separates a true portable flameproof lamp from a stationary or permanent light source.
The Larson Electronics ATEX/IECEX rated flameproof portable lighting series offers an extensive range of solutions for temporary illumination in combustible facilities. Operators can choose from the following models:
- Flameproof LED Base Stand Lights: Ground-level illumination is where these base stand LED lights excel. Top-located handles facilitate seamless placement around the temporary location. Our base stands come in four-leg or two-leg builds, as well as A-frames and triangular cages. Adjustable light head configurations allow beams to be pointed up or down.
- Flameproof LED Quadpod Towers: Deploy powerful LED lights from elevated positions. These units can extend from seven feet to 12 feet. Solid wheels at the base facilitates transportation around the site, while the four-leg configuration promotes stability on flat surfaces. The energy-efficient LED light head is also adjustable and can be removed for passing through tight openings, entry/exit points and use in confined spaces.
- LED Inspection Lighting Systems: Easy to carry; versatile mounting features. Our ATEX/IECEx rated LED inspection lights are equipped with hooks for securing on poles, chains, ladders, pockets, rails and small openings. These units are waterproof, feature anti-roll designs and come with long SOOW cords (we carry models with cord reels) for increased mobility and lighting placement over the target area.
