Use “Bug Eyes” Explosion Proof Lighting during Power Outages!

Accidents happen, that is why we call them accidents. Equipment fails, generators stop operating, power goes out. You cannot plan for the unexpected, but you can plan for exit strategies should a system failure or power outage occur. To ensure safe exit travels while leaving the facility under such conditions, emergency lighting is needed (and required by code). When working in hazardous locations, the potential risk is even greater. You want everyone to be able to quickly and effectively leave the facility before and harm is caused to personnel, in cause of a catostrophic failure or explosion. This is where explosion proof emergency lighting solutions work for you in those dire times.

Larson Electronics offers an extensive selection of emergency lighting that are explosion proof. Our hazardous location lights are come in several styles: linear fixtures, high bay fixtures, exit signs, and bug eyes equipped with battery backup that runs for the UL 924 minimum of 90 minutes in case of a power outage. The failsafe lights feature a built-in charger that will automatically charge the battery to full strength when power is restored. Operators install these emergency light fixtures in walkways and above exit doorways to ensure employees can safely exit the facility during unexpected power outages

These hazardous location lights are listed for use in Class I Divisions 1 & 2 and Class II Division 1 & 2 , and are compliant with National Electric Code and OSHA requirements for hazardous locations.
