Explosion Proof and In-stock: Portable String Lights

In combustible environments, explosion proof string lights are an industrial operator’s best friend.

These versatile units serve as a primary source of illumination for detailed tasks around temporary work sites. For a hands-free approach to illumination, the compact lamps feature heavy-duty hooks for mounting on poles, ladders, manholes, pipes, vehicles and machines.

Suitable for electrical safety, explosion proof string lights typically come with an inline transformer, which steps down mainstream power (such as 120V or 240V) to low voltages (such as 12V or 24V). This provides an extra layer of safety in confined spaces and flammable facilities.

As a light that is frequently used in mining, oil and gas, MRO, construction, inspection and chemical processing, we keep our explosion proof string lights in stock.

The Larson Electronics explosion proof string light series features Class I, II, III rated explosion proof LED or incandescent units. Sets range from 3 hand lamps to 10 drop lights on a daisy chain connection.

For low voltage requirements, we provide string light variants with inline, step-down transformers. Some models are also protected by cages or guards – particularly useful in rugged work sites.

Moving away from traditional ‘cone-shaped’ drop lights, we also offer square-style explosion proof LED string lights. These units provide powerful illumination and come with unique mounting components for elevated lighting configurations.
