Made in the USA
The EPLC-112 from Larson Electronics is a Four Drop Light GFI Cart
that provides operators with a mobile lighting solution for applications requiring multiple explosion proof lights sources
that can be easily manage in the workspace or jobsite. The EPLC-112 operates on 120V or 240V AC input voltage that is then
converted to low voltage output current with options of 12V AC, 24V AC, 12V DC or 24V DC output voltages.
*PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO THIS LIGHT CART*
This mobile light cart from Larson Electronics is designed to provide operators
in hazardous locations with four mobile drop lights operating on 12 or 24 volts and comes complete with 50 feet of SOOW explosion
proof cord and explosion proof plug per include hand lamp. Constructed of aluminum, this cart is mounted on no-flat rubber tires and contains
a 500 watt step down transformer that converts 120V or 240V AC input current to low voltage output current. Included with this cart
are four 12 volt explosion proof hand lamps. Operators may choose between 100 watt lamps that are approved for Class I Division 1
hazardous areas or 75 watt lamps that are approved for Class II Division 1 hazardous areas. Each lamp has its own switch and is connected
to the cart with 50 feet of SOOW cord.
The four included drop lights operate off 12 or 24 low
voltage current supplied by the transformer and are rated for Class I Division 1 hazardous areas (when 100W option is chosen) or
Class II Division 1 hazardous areas (when 75W option is chosen). This gives operators the flexibility to choose the appropriate light
cart for their specific environmental or work area needs. Each lamp is connected to the cart with 50 feet of SOOW explosion proof cord
to provide ample maneuverability in the workspace. The non sparking aluminum cart has a single integrated handle, is powder coated,
and mounted atop no-flat rubber tires to allow easy movement about the workplace.

Understanding the Basics of Modern Lighting Technology
Although the incandescent bulb requires little more than a source of electrical power, HID and fluorescent bulbs require ballasts, and LED lighting requires voltage regulating circuitry known as drivers. Since ballast and drivers can also consume electrical power as well as the lamp itself, it is important to consider the total energy consumed by the system versus lumens produced. [...]
IECex/ATEX and North American NEC HAZLOC Equipment Classification
North America is presently not operating with the IECex/ATEX schemes although some effort has been made to produce some homogenity between North American and European Standards, most notably the US and Canada's adoption of a Zone system (NEC 505) modeled after European Schemes. However, despite the great similarity between North American and European Zone systems, they are not identical and are not interchangeable.
LED Fluorescent Tube Fixtures: Efficiency Beyond Lumens vs Watts
LEDs retain several distinct advantages over fluorescent lamps. LEDs do not require any ballast for their operation. Using entirely solid state electronics, the current and output of LEDs can be easily regulated and maintained. There is no initial startup or warm up period normally associated with ballast equipped luminaries. [...]
Modern Military Spotlights: Versatile Lightweight Power
Rechargeable spotlights and flashlights have become an increasingly important part of military operations. As recently as ten years ago military personnel in the field were forced to rely on personal lighting equipment that had very short operational times due to high energy consumption. This required the further addition of up to twenty pounds of batteries to keep them operational during a full mission deployment of ten days. [...]
How Do You Know If a Light is really Explosion Proof?
Hazardous location lighting equipment is in the simplest explanation used in places where concentrations of volatile gases, flammable dust or particulates, or flammable chemicals are high enough to present a danger of ignition that can lead to explosion or fire. [...]
Confined Space Lighting for Hazardous Locations
Confined spaces represent some of the most dangerous work places in commercial industries. Because of their enclosed nature confined spaces are poorly ventilated and allow volatile gases, fumes, vapors, and particulates to accumulate and increase in atmospheric density to potentially explosive levels. Confined spaces represent a hazardous work area and are loosely defined by a few general characteristics. [...]
