Marine Shore Power Cords and Equipment
Offshore and onshore operations require power equipment that can withstand harsh environments in marine locations where heavy water spray, moisture, and other contaminants are present. In marine shore applications cables, generators and other equipment must be marine rated, that’s why Larson Electronics carries a special line of shore power cable and equipment, suitable for these demanding environments.
We offer a variety of extension power cords designed for heavy duty and outdoor applications, specifically remote marine locations where extended power cords are needed to connect to equipment when stationary weatherproof outlets are not readily available.
Some of these weatherproof extension cords feature rugged Milspec connectors, which are military grade, male and female, multi-contact, heavy duty, quick disconnect, and waterproof. These Milspec extension cords are constructed of Type W cord, suitable for use in industrial applications, heavy-duty service and as temporary power supplies.
Other extension cords we carry are SOOW and SEOOW power cords, used for heavy-duty industrial applications where flexibility and durability is a necessity. These cables are designed for heavy usage with portable machinery, mining applications and especially marine dockside power applications. SOOW cable is made of rubber that is resistant to oils, water, chemicals, the ozone and other potential contaminants. They are also flame retardant and sunlight resistant, and include weatherproof male and female straight blade, twist lock or pin/sleeve cord caps.
In addition to our shorepower connectors, we also offer three phase and single phase distribution panels which are ideal for applications including on-shore or off-shore generators, construction sites, and shipyard operations. These UL 1640 rated panels allow operators to tap into and distribute three phase AC from multiple power sources keeping equipment operational during power failures. We also have portable spiderboxes, that convert 208Y/120 or 240/120V input voltage and to 120/208V or 120/240V output voltage. These spiderboxes are designed for operation within military and marine equipment.
