For Superior Power Distribution, Choose Your Materials with Larson Electronics

Keeping your portable power distribution unit (PDU) working in rough environments involves choosing the right types of materials.

Not a lot of manufacturers and stores offer the wide selection of materials that we provide for our power distribution products. We not only offer different types of frames and finishes, but also cater to an assortment of NEMA enclosures for both indoor and outdoor use!

Why choose materials for PDUs?

Portable PDUs are the lifeline of your tools on the work site. If it gets damaged or prematurely fails, you won’t be able to use your equipment until it’s fixed or replaced. As a result, project deadlines are missed and productivity levels decrease.

At Larson Electronics, we want our customers to get the most out of their portable PDU purchases. Because these units are typically used away from controlled environments, in rugged locations where compatible power may be inaccessible, they must be protected from a long list of unpredictable elements – from bad weather and corrosion to rough handling and vibration.

What type of portable PDU materials can I choose with Larson Electronics?

We offer different types of frames, such as carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Our selection of finishes include powder coated or anodized. For superior durability, you can choose from various types of NEMA enclosures – NEMA 3R, NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, NEMA 12 and more.

In addition to materials, we also provide custom-built PDUs for businesses with special needs, based on a particular project or equipment specifications. We can build out PDU configurations with different voltages, receptacles and cords/cord caps (just to name a few).
